Hello…I am pretty new to swimming so forgive me if this is a dumb question….I had requested for my daughter Addison Wheat to be in a 7-8 25M backstroke. I see they she’s in a 8U fly. Is that the same thing? And looks like all the kids are doing a relay? Can you give me some additional info about that.

Carter Dix is supposed to be in the 100 back instead of the 100 free.
Hi Mrs. Wheat, I’m not a coach, just another parent, but I do have some experience with heat sheets so I’ll answer your question in order to quell any anxiety you have. It looks like Addison is in both the 8U backstroke and butterfly events as well as the freestyle (which make up her 3 individual events) and a freestyle relay ( 4 girls each swim a 25 freestyle to get a total time for 100 yards (or meters depending on the pool)). Relays are a lot of fun, she will enjoy it 🙂 I promise. I hope this has helped!
I signed my daughter, Gigi, up for 2 races based on Coach Bug’s recommendation. Somehow she was signed up for a relay and the 25 fly which wasn’t the plan. Since it is her first meet, I didn’t want to overwhelm her so not sure how to get removed. Thank you,
